WHY KALKASKA?

Kalkaska County Michigan is home to over 90 lakes and 3 rivers and thousands of acres of State Forest.  There are public accesses on almost all these waterways and no matter where you live, you are never more than 10 minutes away from water.  The village of Kalkaska provides all the necessary shopping from hardware to pharmacy to deli plus it is home to its own hospital, ice rink/swimming pools at the Kaliseum and an outstanding school system.  Employment is growing rapidly with the increase in the oil and gas industry and it adjoins Grand Traverse County on the west for all the additional amenities of shopping, entertainment and the growing beer and wine industries.  Situated on U.S.-131 and 20 miles from I-75 it is rapidly becoming a perfect destination for affordable recreational real estate.  Come for a visit and take the tour!
