AOL Travel listed Traverse City as one of their top ten "Best Beach Towns". The article labels it "the Malibu of Michigan". That is quite an honor as it was the only lakefront community to be listed. All others were oceanside communities that seem to be famous, such as Kennebunkport, Maine and Pismo Beach, Florida. This honor is something we all know and love about Traverse City, but it is nice to have the national exposure to allow for others to visit and enjoy the beauty we see everyday.
