Exceptional Manistee River Half Log Home

We're very excited to represent this amazing property that is new to the market on The Manistee River. The attention to detail and craftsmanship on this home are beyond anything we've had the opportunity to represent before. Located just north of M-72 off of Manistee River Road, the property provides easy access to Traverse City or points to the South via US 131 or I-75. The home was built in 1986, but completely renovated in 2002 when the current owners took possession. Situated on 2 acres with 200' of river frontage, the setting is quite private with just one nice log home visible through the woods on the upstream side and state land on the other side of the river ensuring further privacy. This section of river is home to a mixed bag of eager brook trout and trophy proportion brown trout. Unlike other sections of the river, this area gets very little fishing pressure and it's not uncommon to see no other anglers while you're on the stream. The month of June is when the bigger hatches like Brown Drakes and Hex come off and this portion of the river really hits it's stride.

The home has been exceptionally cared for and the woodworking throughout is truly breathtaking. A variety of woods including Hickory, maple, birch, pine, cedar and walnut are blended to create a lodge atmosphere that is seldom seen. Wonderful river views are available from most of the rooms in the house including the full finished walkout basement. Extensive landscaping, an expansive deck and large patio all provide wonderful outdoor living spaces from which to enjoy the river.

Add to this a spectacular 30' x 60' barn that has a finished and heated home gym, finished and heated wood working shop and a large heated finished garage bay for vehicles or boats and you've got everything you need for an ideal year round or vacation getaway. Please contact me at your convenience for your private tour. click any photo to view the full property details. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
