Autumn is Upon Us on the Au Sable River

Fall has to be one of my favorite seasons. The crispness in the mornings, the trees changing to vibrant reds and oranges, and the aroma of apple and pumpkin filling the air. The hunters in Northern Michigan begin their quest for 'the BIG one' and anglers are still optimistically enjoying the fishing.

Although traditional trout season ends this weekend, there is still time to get your line wet on the Holy Waters of the Au Sable River. With this incredible Indian Summer we've had, there is plenty of time to get out on the water.

If you happen to be looking for premier water to fish throughout the extended season, this home on Blue Dun is one that can't be beat. Situated on a stretch of the best dry flying waters around you'll find this incredibly well built, well kept, modern home. We've featured it before, but it's worth taking a look at again, and again. Boy, it's beautiful!

Built in 2003 this three bedroom, two bath home is the epitome of East Coast Hamptons charm. Clean lines, neutral wood grains, sweeping porches, and space to entertain. You're guaranteed to find yourself on a sunny fall day, sipping hot cider from the side deck reading that page turner you picked up at the library.  Or, perhaps you're warm blooded (like me) and prefer to cozy up next to the gas burning fireplace in the family room? The possibilities of comfort are endless in this home.

Sitting at the rivers edge is something the homeowners take great pleasure in. The light trickle of the river, the birds, the rustling of the freshly fallen leaves. It's nothing short of tranquility right in your backyard.

If you're looking for a home on the best stretch of the Au Sable, that is fit to enjoy Fall and every season in between, then you'll want to take a look into this one.
