Naked Lake, a stunning northern Michigan legacy property from Homewaters

We have the great pleasure of representing some of the finest properties northern Michigan has to offer.  Among those, some stand out at an even higher level.  Naked Lake, near Lewiston, is one of these truly exceptional properties.  I've had the opportunity to spend some real time on this property and every time I'm there, I'm more impressed.  The property itself offers an incredible variety for a parcel of this size.  Most of it consists of rolling hills and valleys forested with a great mix of hardwoods and softwoods.  The spring fed lake itself is deep and cool and absolutely loaded with fish.  There area also a series of smaller wildlife ponds on the property that are home to droves of wood ducks and other wildlife.  I don't know that I've been there and not kicked up a number of grouse.  There's a lot of undergrowth that provides good cover and food for these and other game birds.

The contractor / owner of the property hand selected the locally sourced red pine logs then hand peeled, scribed and stacked them on site.  Every one is saddle notched at the end in the true Scandinavian tradition. It's rare to find craftsmanship of this level.  Even the foundation includes large bricks of red Belgian granite the seller recovered when they were removed from the streets of Detroit.  A wall of glass spans the front of the home offering stunning views of the lake from the kitchen and dining area, great room and master bedroom.  A large bunk room upstairs is ideal for kids or visiting hunters.  Each of the lower level bedroom suites has its own bath and impressive lake views.  The great room features an impressive fireplace of stacked local stones, hand picked for their purpose.

At the east end of the lake is a separate pavillion near the sandy beach area.  It includes a full functioning kitchen and game processing room as well as a large screened picnic area for everyone to enjoy a meal together.

Here's a brief video showcase that will give some sense of the property but it really must be experienced first hand.
