A big sale for Associate Broker Steve Shaw boosts Northern Michigan Hunting Market

Congratulations to Associate Broker, Steve Shaw, who just completed the sale of one of the highest priced recreational acreage parcels to sell in years.  Steve represented the 1,200 acre "Big Ten" camp located within The Consolidated Hunting League near Hubbard Lake.  The property features a private lake, a trout stream and a number of ponds, including one that is right in front of the cabin and stocked with large trout.  The modern Lodge offers very comfortable accommodations and a 32 x 48 barn provided space for equipment vehicles and all the hunting gear.  The property sold for $2,140,000 making it among the highest sales in recent history for this type of property and the highest to date for Homewaters.  Steve joined Homewaters early last year and has been dominating the acreage and lakefront markets in the northeastern corner of Michigan since that time.  His success is mostly attributed to his innate drive to succeed and willingness to work as hard as needed to reach his goals.  A military veteran, he's a man of few words and simply gets the job done.  If you, or anyone you know, has a real estate need in northeastern Michigan, reach out to Steve at your first convenience and rest assured that you'll be in good hands.  Click HERE to learn more about Steve.

This is the second significant sale in this segment for Homewaters in 2015.  Sales Associate, Vince Edwards, represented the buyer on another large acreage parcel on Kalkaska County's Rapid River earlier this year for $1,480,000 which was another exceptional sale in the otherwise flat recreational acreage market.

In recent years, Homewaters has made a concerted effort to expand into this market and it's paying off for our clients.  Earlier this year we added Sales Associate, Jason Manderbach, who's representing hunting and agricultural acreage for the firm in central Michigan and points south.  Jason is one of only a few people in the state of Michigan who has received an FAA exemption for his use of an aerial drone for commercial photography as a part of his real estate business.  Drone imagery has proven to be a true asset with these type of properties that are often difficult to represent with simple photos due to their sheer size and often unique features.

Our newest addition is Sales Associate, Preston Bovee, who will be joining our firm in the coming weeks. Preston comes to Homewaters with a video production background within the outdoors industry and a strong passion for hunting and fishing.  With these additions and a concerted effort to provide an exceptional experience for those looking to buy or sell acreage property, Homewaters is positioned to be the finest resource for hunting, agricultural and acreage properties throughout all but the southern most portions of Michigan.
