When it comes to prime riverfront properties, there tends to be a fairly large hole in the middle of the market. Broad gravel riffles alternating with deeper outer bends and plenty of structure provides ideal habitat for resident brook and brown trout. The most notable feature of the fishery here is the breadth of different insect hatches that bring trout to the surface. Everything from tiny Tricos to huge Brown Drakes and all the mayflies in between will pop here at various times of the season and sometimes a bunch at the same time. Great caddis hatches and good numbers of stoneflies make for a truly exceptional dry fly fishery.
