Look to quiet, lesser known lakes for great buys!

Most of our conversations with buyers begin by them naming the most popular lakes in the state.  Higgins, Houghton, Wixom, Torch, Elk, Crystal and the like.  While these are among the finest bodies of water in their respective areas, they're also among the most pricey.  Once we have the opportunity to look at a handful of properties and consider some other options, often times they choose a lesser known body of water to get the best deal.

Here's a terrific example.  This beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 bath cottage home is situated on a beautifully wooded parcel on quiet Bryan Lake right next door to Lake Ann near Traverse City.  Bryan Lake is relatively small but offers fantastic swimming fishing, kayaking and a great "up north" feel.
The cottage itself features a towering wall of windows overlooking the lake, a large waterside deck, open loft and a main floor fireplace and a lower level wood stove.  A property like this on other area lakes would easily reach into the $400,000 range or higher.  On Bryan Lake, however, the list price is $274,900.  It's new to the market this week so don't hesitate to reach out to Sales Associate Vince Edwards at vince@homewaters.net or by phone at (231) 715-9037 to arrange a private showing.  Vince happens to live on Bryan lake too and can answer any questions you may have.  Click HERE for a virtual tour of the property.
