The Platte River begins out of a few small lakes Southwest of Traverse City, and flows West toward Lake Michigan. The river is home to a pretty good population of trout, especially small rainbows (future steelhead) that are excellent for teaching someone to fly fish or just for your enjoyment. As the river gets closer to Honor and the upper end of Platte Lake, there are more deep holes that are home to larger trout and Salmon and Steelhead.

If you've been dreaming about fishing on Platte River and you'd like your own spot to call home, here is an excellent opportunity.  This parcel with an existing 45’x55’ pole barn with over an acre, with over 200’ of frontage and within walking distance to the Village of Honor, may be just for you. And when you're not fishing, you can be kayaking down the river into Lake MI.  The river is calling you home so come up North and grab this slice of paradise for under $100k.
