Visit us at The Midwest Fly Fishing Exposition this weekend!

Once again we'll be heading down to Warren to exhibit at The Midwest Fly Fishing Exposition at Macomb Community College. It's almost a home coming at this point we've been there so many times. The first time was when I worked for The Fly Factory in Grayling along The AuSable and I was working in the shop prior to getting into real estate. Breathable waders were the new fad and someone came up with the bright idea of having all of us wear them all day long at the show to prove just how comfortable they are. The following year I was still with The Fly Factory but had earned my real estate license and brought information on a few properties. For a couple of years we helped Dave and Kelly Leonhard with Streamside Orvis and talked real estate to a few interested anglers. Eventually we took our own booth space when I owned 45th Parallel Realty, L.L.C. and now we're fully dialed in with our display as Homewaters, L.L.C. Some other companies have showed up in the past, but this is our bread and butter. We're built from the ground up to sell riverfront property and these are our "Peeps!" It's always great to see all of our friends within the fly fishing community. Guides, shop owners, past, present and future clients are all there to see the latest and greatest gear. There are always terrific seminars and legendary hospitality suites. These shows can be a lot of work, but this one has more of a feel of a high school reunion because of our background in the world of fly fishing. If you haven't been to the show before and have even a passing interest in fly fishing, you should do yourself a favor and make your way to the show this year.
